In my geography class, it is almost impossible to get an A. I mean you could if you just know everything to begin with, but if you know very little about the world, like me, your chances of getting an A are low.
Believe me. I studied like such a nerd when the time came for a test. I studied the entire study guide, my notes, and the text. All of these repeatedly with flash cards and I always got Bs and Cs on the tests. I know I'm not an idiot. The problem was I didn't even recognize 20-30% of the test, meaning it just wasn't there in the study materials and we never discussed it in class.
Luckily, no one in the class was a genius freak of nature. They were like me, so I guess the teacher curved the grades and that's why I ended up with an A.
Even if she didn't grade on a curve, I probably wouldn't have been assertive enough to say anything. I always tell myself it's my fault. "There is always a way to get an A, no matter what! Don't blame the teacher." Assertive students don't mind confrontation with their professor if it will make things a little easier for them in the long run.
So I ended up with 2 As and 2 Bs and a 3.47 GPA, since the classes I got As in were a lower number of units than the B classes. But that's all okay, because everything is a lesson. Well, everything unpleasant is a lesson.
I should find out if I got into the University by mid-february! Literally cannot wait any longer.
